AI governance
AI must be governed so that we can be able to maximize its benefits and minimize its risks. Today, there are many AI governance models across the world. There is no one AI governance. For me, what does it mean? It means we need to govern data, we need to govern algorithm, We need to govern the computing of AI and we need to govern the application of AI. So how do we govern this? Firstly, we must all agree about the values of AI. And here our values must be based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and UN Charter. Fairness, accuracy, transparency, and so on and so forth. And then we need to foster behavior of all participants in AI. Developers, users, they all must use it responsibly. We need to create incentives that incentivize the good use of AI. Thirdly, we need to develop policies and regulations to govern AI. And then we should also develop AI standards. What are the accuracy standards? What are the standards of water and energy use of AI? And then we need to create laws around AI. There are many laws that are being created. One example is the EU's AI Act. And lastly, we need to create institutions that are going to regulate AI. The United Nations, through the Pact of the Future, has the scientific panel on AI that is going to help in the global regulation of AI.
