- [Narrator] Many staff nowadays have more than just a printer in their home office. It also has the ability to fax and scan and copy. Now, there's a utility built into Windows 10 and 11 that automatically has this fax and scan application. You don't have to install it. You can just open it right up. And you can do a search for it in the Start menu or just go ahead and go to the Search or Run box and type in "Windows Fax and Scan." Now, most of the time, people are not going to use the fax capabilities because people just don't fax like they used to. So they are going to use this for the scanner. Now, this scan will work with pretty much any version of any type of scanner out there. However, the features are going to vary. First off, when I click on the new scan, if you get a message that says it cannot connect to the scanner, then it's likely that the USB cable is not connected or you don't have the scanner added as a driver inside your driver section in system settings.
