Let's be honest. Time is limited and sometimes there are more task than hours in the day. This is why identifying your priorities is so critical. It allows you to allocate your time and energy and resources efficiently. In this lesson, you will learn to identify your top priorities and differentiate between urgent and important task. So how can you identify your priorities? The first step is to make a list of all the tasks you need to do in order to achieve your goal. Once you have your list, it's time to identify key priorities. Here are three of the most common prioritization techniques. The first one is the pareto principle, also known as the 80/20 rule. This principle states that 80% of your results are produced by 20% of your efforts. So ask yourself this question. Of all the tax I have listed, which task will make up my 20%, I will produce 80% results? Prioritize and allocate time and resources to your 20%. Then delegate or eliminate nonessential task.
