What are extreme low angle shots useful for and what gear do I need?

(light upbeat music) - [Instructor] To capture low angle shots, you're going to want to get the camera low to the ground. In this case, I'm using a variety of different types of mounting points. These work nicely because they get a dramatic angle. Going low to the ground can really add a lot of drama. In this case, I'm using small action cameras which can be collided with and won't cause any damage. Here, a small mounting plate from Platypod also works well to get the camera right onto the surface where skating is going to occur. Shooting at a higher frame rate also works well because you could really slow the action down. This will work nicely to tell the story. It adds a lot of extra drama, and the extra frames will come in handy. Try to position the camera at a slight angle. Also, if going handheld, you can raise and lower the camera to follow the action.
