- The human brain hates uncertainty. People need transparency. They need to know where you stand with projects because it gives them peace of mind that you've got things under control. Being proactive with updates is key, and it saves everyone a lot of time and hassle. Please, do not be the coworker others have to nag to get information they need. Keep others in the loop and it'll directly influence how people perceive your work ethic and professionalism. Maybe you create a real-time dashboard where anyone can see metrics. Send out an email each week to share what you've achieved and your plans for the upcoming week. Include an appendix or margin notes with your deliverables to explain your thought process, or have a standing meeting with your team or boss about how things are going with your projects.
