- Like it or not, we all have to deliver tough feedback to those we work with. And the way you handle this can make or break the level of trust in your relationships. It's all about framing, specifically, being forward looking and solution oriented. The Plus/Delta Framework is a great way to do this. The Plus represents what's working. While the Greek symbol Delta represents change, a suggestion, idea, or request for what could be even better. So this might sound like, "It means a lot that you give the team freedom to do our work. In order for us to continue growing, could we get clearly defined goals from you at the beginning of the quarter? That way we know how to channel our efforts." Or, "You did a great job with today's presentation and your excitement for the project really showed through.
