One of the biggest advantages of advertising on social media is that you can tap into data to optimize your ads. On the other hand, the sheer volume of data available can be a little overwhelming at first. In this lesson, I will share a few types of data that I look at when advertising on social media and the types of decisions I make based on this data. This will give you a starting point of what to look at. From there you can form your own data analysis strategies. One thing to keep in mind is that the type of data you want to look at will depend on the format of the ads you are running. Two of the most popular ad formats are static images and videos. For both static image and video ads, you can look at the number of impressions your ad gets. That's the total number of people that get the ad in their social media feed.
