From the course: The Skin Retouch
How to use the Mixer Brush for frequency separation
- This is the part when things really start to get exciting when it comes to frequency separation, because we get to start making big changes in a really cool, smooth, slick way. The tool that we are going to use for this specific way of blending the skin colors together is going to be the mixer brush. And I'm going to just give you a little bit of a crash course in the settings of the mixer brush, and then we're going to move on, and we are going to see how the mixer brush can revolutionize the way we retouch skin. So I can't wait to get to that, but I got to teach you a little bit about the tools first. So within the brush menu here, we have the option, if we click and hold, to go to the mixer brush tool. This reacts very much like a paintbrush would for any specific thing that you are working on. I'm going to include this in your exercise files, so that you can play around with it as well, as I'm showing you the difference…
