Basically, in order to learn something, people need 10% formal instruction or courses, 20% coaching, and 70% actually doing. Now, there's been a lot of debate about this, mostly when it comes to the proportions, but no matter what you think about 70-20-10, people simply need feedback loops and the opportunity to practice in order to master new skills.
