- [Instructor] I hope it's obvious. I really love data science, and I am so glad to see more and more people learning how much it can help them in their work. That said, I can't think of a few really unpleasant regrettable outcomes that can happen for data science work in healthcare if you're not careful. They include legal problems. You don't want to get sued because you broke some law in the process of conducting your project. Or public relations problems, regardless of whether the thing you did was legal, you don't want to end up on the wrong side of a major protest movement. And then fear of problems. You also don't want your boss to look like this when you pitch an idea. You have important contributions to make, and if you can do them in ways that are legally and socially responsible, then you don't want to have them ignored. You can make important contributions.
