(upbeat music) (easygoing music) - Well, the CHIPS Act is a bipartisan solution to really reinvest in semiconductor technologies that are underlying really the next industrial revolution of smarter machines. So it was passed in August of 2022 and Congress put forward a $2 billion investment in the Department of Defense and its capabilities for R&D and their production needs. And then a $50 billion investment, 39 of which has gone into making manufacturing facilities here in the United States that will make the next generation of computer chips and sensing chips come online. And then 11 billion that invests in research development and workforce development. So really a historic once in a generation opportunity to recommit to semiconductor technologies and manufacturing in the United States.
