- When you're making cold calls, the energy you give off to your prospect makes a huge difference in retaining their attention and making an impact. But keeping up that energy throughout the day is sometimes hard to manage so you can drink coffees, take regular breaks, sleep well during the week, and generally share energy from your colleagues in order to keep up that buzz. But one way that I manage to keep my energy up is to stand up when I'm doing my cold calling. So this is a technique that I learned back in my heavy, cold calling days. I had a sales manager that would organize something called power hours, and that's where the entire sales team would do nothing but cold call. We all did it together so energy would be booming and you'd get loads done.
