- Let's say you need to paint your house. Maybe you don't like the color, or maybe it's just old and faded, but you want to make it look clean and new. Doing it yourself will take far too long, and you probably do a bad job. So you decide to find someone else to do it. How would you find them? You can do a few internet searches. Maybe you look in the local newspaper, or maybe you ask a friend. Personally, I'd do the last one. I don't know anything about house painting. So how do I know what a good house painter looks like? How do I know this isn't their first ever job? How do I know what kind of paint they should be using? How do I know they wouldn't miss any areas entirely? And how much should this even cost? So if a close friend of mine said, "Yes, I know just the guy. "He painted my house, he did it really quickly, "he did a great job and it was really cheap," then I wouldn't even think twice.
