Suggested equipment and gear
- Throughout this course, we're going to use a lot of different equipment and I don't expect that you go and buy it all. In every case, when I'm using a professional camera or a medium quality DSLR or mirrorless camera, the same thing can be done with a cell phone. And in fact, we'll use cell phones too. And I'll address some other strategies to get the best results. I am going to be using Adobe Creative Cloud. Specifically, Photoshop, Bridge, Camera Raw, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Media Encoder. Now don't worry if that sounds a little bit intimidating, we'll walk you through all the essential skills you need to know to get the results with each of these applications. So even if you've never really launched them before, we'll still take you through what's necessary. If you're an advanced user, you'll still learn some great techniques too. Now, I recommend that you find a place where you have a little bit of room to actually capture photographs. Maybe it's your conference room. Maybe it's your basement. Maybe it's your studio. Depending upon where you work. But get enough space so you can spread out and try out these techniques. This course is very modular. So once you get past these first intros, feel free to jump to the section that interests you. While skills will occasionally cross reference or build upon each other, each section is fairly independent. But I do highly recommend that you start each section with the first movie and watch it all the way through to the end. There is a particular process and I'm hoping to make this as easy as possible. But if you skip around within a chapter, you might get a little lost or confused. Okay. Let's talk about exercise files.
