Virtues and values

- With Capability Approach, we looked at how our designs modify the capabilities of the people we design for. With Consequentialism, we looked at the consequences our designs create in the people who interact with our designs and the world around them. And with Duty Ethics, we looked at what duties and responsibilities we as designers have towards the world and towards our own industry. Our journey has taken us from the external towards the internal and now we find ourselves crossing that final line where we must ask ourselves what our beliefs are and what we as designers stand for. This path that I've staked out for you through an exploration of ethical design and development thinking has led us to the last corner of our diagram, the ancient core of Western moral philosophy, Virtue Ethics.
