- [Instructor] When you create a visualization in Tableau, the program applies built-in formatting to what you make. As with most every other aspect of a Tableau viz, you can format your elements to emphasize specific aspects of your data or just provide the appearance you want. In this movie, I will show you some ways that you can make changes to a chart or other visualization. My sample file is 10_02 format chart elements, and you can find it in the chapter 10 folder of the exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have a visualization that shows a line chart with order totals for the company that I run, and it's broken down by month. The line, as you can see, is a dark blue, but if I want to change that color, then I can click the line and then go onto the marks card and click the color square and then select a new color. So I will change it to a yellow, or I could change to a different color. For example, red. And click away, and the entire line is now red. I could also…
