- [Instructor] Creating a parameter gives you a quick and visual way to change the characteristics of a filter. If you decide you want to change the parameter, you can do so with no problem. You can also rename it or delete it, but be aware that deleting a parameter means any filters or other operations based on it will no longer work. In this movie, I will show you how to perform those tasks. My sample file is 06_09_EditParameter, and you can find it in the chapter six folder of the exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have a table with the top spend broken down by product name. So I can see that beds have cost me a lot of money over the last few years. And over on the right, I have a parameter control, and it is currently set to show two values, and I can see that two is the maximum I can show because the slider is all the way to the right, and also the increase button is gray.
