- [Instructor] After you create a map in Tableau, you can change the map's appearance and also change the information that appears on it. In this movie, I will show you how to do that. My sample file is 11_02 Layers, and you can find it in the chapter 11 folder of the exercise files collection. On this map, I have our sales and they are listed by zip code. Now let's say that I want to change the appearance of the map. To do that, I can go to the Map menu and then point to Background Maps. And here I have a number of options. Currently I have the Light option. If I click Normal, then the colors change slightly, they're a bit darker, and also we see the bodies of water that are displayed in kind of a grayish green. If you prefer to have a dark map, which you might use in night mode, then go up to Map, point to Background Maps, and then click Dark. And there you have the background in black, and we have gray for bodies of water, but the points are still displayed in blue. And there are…
