- [Instructor] Summarizing your data in a Tableau table lets you discover important insights about your data. You can enhance your tables by adding table calculations to create additional summaries based on what you already have. These summaries provide an overview of your data and help you make decisions about sales and operations. These sample file that I will use to show you how to create these table calculations is 04_04_TableCalculation, and you can find it in the chapter 4 folder of the exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have a single worksheet and I have broken down sales by quarter. And again, this is in a text table. And what I'd like to do is change the summary so that instead of just having the sum, I would like to, for example, see the difference in sales from one quarter to another.
