Replace a worksheet in a dashboard quickly
In an older versions of Tableau, exchanging one sheet for another in a dashboard took a lot of steps. However, you can now do it with just a few clicks, and in this movie I will show you how to do it. My sample file is 12_04_Replace and you can find it in the Chapter_12 folder of the Exercise Files collection. On this dashboard, I have each of the four worksheets from the workbook that I'm in. And let's say that I want to remove one of the items, for example revenue by category. To remove it I can go over to the dashboard, click it, and then click the remove from dashboard button, which looks like an X or the close button. So I click there and it's been removed. But then I realized that I actually wanted to get rid of sales count by customer type. So the idea is that I want to put the sheet that I just removed in the place of sales count by customer type, and I could do that by removing sales count and then bringing revenue back over.
