Disable pan and zoom in maps
When you visualize data using Maps and Tableau, you can zoom in and out and pan from side to side to view your data from many perspectives. If you want to focus on a specific view, Tableau lets you turn off Pan and zoom to direct attention to the data you want to emphasize without the danger of changing your display. And in this movie, I will show you how to do that. My sample file is 11_04_Disable pan and zoom. and you can find it in the chapter 11 folder of the Exercise Files collection. In this workbook I have a map and I have zoomed in to an area in the eastern United States around the District of Columbia, our National Capital Territory. If I want to change the zoom level, then I can move the mouse pointer over the body of the map, and then I can either use my mouse or scroll wheel. And I'm currently scrolling down to zoom out.
