When you create a visualization in Tableau, it's important that you get everything looking just right. A little bit of formatting can help your colleagues understand your data more effectively, and in this movie, I will show you how to apply formatting to the contents of a visualization concentrating on text. My sample file is 09_02_Format, and you can find it in the Chapter_09 folder of the Exercise Files collection. In this workbook, I have a single worksheet with a text table that summarizes sales by product category. The text is fairly small, so what I'd like to do is make it larger so that it's easier to read, because there's really no way, at least in this mode, not being in the dashboard to increase the size of the visualization without increasing the size of the text. So I will go up to the format menu. And then click font, that displays the format font panel over in the sidebar, and I start out on text.
