- [Speaker] When user touch points and supporting functional components for product are disjointed and they're operating asynchronously becomes more challenging to visualize in test, user experiences with sketches and simple prototypes. The use case binds together the disconnected parts of a distributed product. The functional dependencies supporting each user experience are like threads, linking together otherwise seemingly disconnected parts. In this video, we'll walk through the process of identifying use cases as a basis for planning a system through function analysis. Within Computer science, UML is the established standard for visualizing systems in digital products. We're not strictly following UML, but the principles are the same and the techniques are similar and totally compatible.
