- When I look back at my life, at all the things that I've been able to accomplish up to this point, the one common theme is that every step of the way, I had a mentor to help guide me through the difficult times and the difficult conversations. There's a law called the Law of 33%. Now, this is a mentorship law in which you split your time into three sections of 33%. The first part you spend with someone that you aspire to be like. The second part you spend with your peer group. And the third is you spend that time mentoring someone that you wish to help bring up to your level. And when it comes to your peer group, you want to think about who you surround yourself with. If you are surrounded by four millionaires, you will most likely become the fifth.
