From the course: Success Strategies for Women in the Workplace
Supporting other women
- Thank you for joining me in this course. I truly hope that some of these lessons will take you that little bit further along your professional path. Because believe me, I get it. Sometimes being a woman in the workplace can be difficult and frustrating, and sometimes we're navigating things that we have zero control over. But I would like to think that now, whether you clearly articulate your professional boundaries, you create space for your ideas and meeting with dominant people, or take time to nurture your own self belief that you've taken away some learnable skills. And with practice and patience, keep applying them to have a positive impact on your career. I want to leave you with a final exercise that is to pass on some of these lessons to the women around you. Perhaps your coworker, who was excellent at her job, but needs some additional self-belief. Support her to create her own success log, and help her start remembering all the achievements that she's accomplished. Maybe that friend who always talks about how overworked and undervalued she is, maybe now you can support her in understanding her needs and how she can step into being a confident self advocate. I would love for you to connect with me here on LinkedIn and share your stories of how you found this course and also how you're using these lessons to impact the women around you. Because I really do believe that together we can keep growing, rising, and achieving success. And as long as we continue to support each other and lift each other up, we will thrive in a world of work that absolutely was not built by us or for us. But now it's our time to show up and stake our claim to the things that we deserve. I look forward to hearing about your success.
