- In my experience as an executive coach, gratitude is critical when it comes to developing self-awareness. In a recent Forbes article, psychotherapists Amy Morin identify seven scientifically proven benefits of gratitude. Having an attitude of gratitude can: open the door to better relationships, improve your physical health, improve your psychological health, enhance empathy and reduce aggression, help you sleep better, improve your self esteem, and increase your mental strength. Gratitude helps you recognize the good things around you, helping you appreciate who you are. Being grateful makes you more resilient when things are tough, helping you inspire others and lead by example. So I want you to start using gratitude as part of your self-awareness practice.
