- Poorly selected projects are a huge contributor to project and program failure. Think about it. If I'm working on a project that doesn't solve a problem, doesn't close a performance gap, or doesn't have strategic value, I should be asking, "Why am I even doing this?" In fact, how far and fast your Lean Six Sigma program grows depends a great deal on good project selection. The more effectively you identify, select, and deliver projects that are of high value, namely have a significant impact on the goals and objectives of the business, the more acceptance and adoption of Lean Six Sigma you'll see.
