Let me start with a bold idea. You don't win a yes in the meeting, you confirm it. Stakeholder management is a process you run before, between and after meetings as much as during them. I had a massive failure in my career at Amazon where a feature I built for Jeff Bezos failed on launch. I had to manage several stakeholders while also leading my team to fix the problems. You can't do this with a single clever e-mail or an update in a meeting. I had to do it over time, leaning on my past track record and relationships and then demonstrating ownership with my conduct. That's the essence of stakeholder management, credibility through repeated behavior, particularly in a crisis when all eyes are on you.
