- [Instructor] Slots have been part of the SolidWorks hole wizard for a while, but recently they've made a few great improvements. Let's take a look. Right here, if I click on the top surface here I come up here to the hole wizard, I'm going to go ahead and jump into that tool, and notice at the bottom we've got a counterbore slot, we've got a countersunk slot, and we have a regular slot here. So I'm going to choose that regular slot and something like 3/8 7 inch. Now we can change the way we dimension it, so you can either go from the center point to the center point, or do on the outside. So I'm going to go ahead and choose the outside in this case here, and define the length. So I'm going to type in 1 inch, and my condition is going to be through all. I can add a little countersink if I'd like, a couple things like that, and then head over here to positions. Now notice if I go to positions one thing…
