- [Instructor] SolidWorks provides us some handy tools for adding fillets as well as chamfers to our sketches. Now, my basic design philosophy is to make my sketches as simple as possible, so I can add fillets and chamfers only on the part level, not in the sketch level if at all possible. That's generally a good way to design. However, there are specific times you might need to add a chamfer or a fillet in the sketch, and let's go ahead and show ya how to do that. So right up here, under the Sketch toolbar is Sketch Fillet, and directly below that is Sketch Chamfer. Let's go ahead and start with Sketch Fillet. Down here, let's go ahead and type in a Sketch Fillet radius. And then choose our Entities to Fillet.
