- [Instructor] Custom properties are metadata that stay with the part you created. And when you're creating a drawing of one of those parts, a lot of that metadata will be brought in to the drawing and show up down here like in the title block or the who it's drawn by and the date and so on. So to add Custom properties, if you click on the part here, I'm going to go back here to the part and let's bring it into view here, here's my part. And right up here at the top of the screen you can see we have File Properties and inside there we've got Summary, Custom Properties, as well as Configuration Specific properties. So under Custom properties, I'm going to go ahead and just look in there. I can click on this dropdown here and I can go ahead and grab any one of these values here so the Description, I can type in something over here like BLOCK and it shows up over there as far as the part number, I can give it something like…
