- [Instructor] They say timing is everything. In the case of a beta test, it couldn't be more true. There's a very tight window of opportunity to successfully execute a good test, and a lot of it depends on good preparation and adhering closely to your test plan. Part of good beta test planning starts well before the product is even left development. Part of it happens when it is mid alpha testing, and the last bit of preparation happens days before the execution of your test. These three stages of planning might seem like a lot, but they happen in these timeframes to ensure the best chance of success. If you try to perform a beta test directly after you complete your quality testing, it will take too long to roll out your project, and eventually you'll end up releasing a product without customer validation.
