- [Announcer] When you embark on the journey of automation there are literally dozens of places to consider taking the first step to begin the process. You might begin by looking into testing applications, assessing team resources, or even scanning your budget. In fact, you'll do all those things in time but the key place to start is with your software. Understanding what you plan to test thoroughly is central to scoping out your automation needs. You may have multiple projects on your radar and you'll want to clearly define the needs of your own application. From this, you'll have a good starting point for creating a list of needs for automation tools. To start, identify the platforms your product supports and the corresponding operating systems.
