That's according to research from Morning Consult, reflecting how far away the advertising industry still is in fairly representing women in their marketing efforts. And this is intensified on social media as spreading harmful gender-based stereotypes in your messaging, can reach more people at a quicker pace, negatively affecting attitudes towards women. To offset this challenge, your brand has an opportunity to create and promote messaging on social media and elsewhere that empowers women and dismantles cliches about gender. So as a starting point, why is this problem still so prevalent in advertising?
