Threads, built by the Instagram team and owned by Facebook's parent company, Meta, is a social channel focused on sharing text and encouraging public discussions. The app struggled to maintain its initial stride, but after launching a series of new features and its community started to mature, it attracted a steady flow of almost 100 million monthly active users in the following months.
