How can AI motivate personal progress?
- In the course, you teach that personal progress on meaningful work is the single greatest motivator. So given that, how do you think that AI could be smartly integrated into people's work lives to build on this principle of achieving progress on meaningful work? - So, there are a few things. I think the first step is to essentially export what's going on in analog world into AI world. So, one thing you could do is that one of the suggestions that I make is writing down three ways you made progress at the end of the day, which I do in this little notebook right here, which is on the right side of my desk. What you could do is you could have AI prompt you every day to say, hey, Pink, what three ways did you make progress? Please tell me right now. It's simply the activity of doing that. It's almost hygienic, that's how I look at it. It's a form of kind of mental, intellectual, productivity hygiene that I do almost instinctually at this point. I don't need that prompt for people developing the habit. Maybe an AI sending them a message every day saying, hey Ashley, what three ways did you make progress today? That could be very useful.
