- [Instructor] The training and certifications section of the resume allow you to illustrate your interests and initiative to learn and your aptitude for technical material. If you have military training, be sure to include this, and oftentimes, the interviewers will want to know of your DD214 status. You may indicate this here and include a copy of the DD214 with your portfolio. As with your experience section, include anything that is industry-specific, but also things that are industry related. Certifications in things like scuba or Ham radio, while probably not relevant to the trade specifically, are good indicators that you have an ability to master technical concepts. Begin with the most recent. Note the organization that provided the training, this training or certification achieved, and the date.
