Create geometry for the floor zones and backsplash

- [Instructor] I'd like to have materials representing different floor surfaces. I'd like to have a ceramic tile in the kitchen, and a hardwood floor in the rest of the space. I'd also like to have a back splash back here, between the upper and lower cabinets. To do that, we need some geometry that can receive these new materials. Right now, we just have a couple of edges down here, but no surface on the ground. Let's start by making a large rectangle to represent the floor. I'll orbit underneath, and then use the rectangle tool, draw a rectangle from this corner, and then I'll orbit back, zoom out, pan, and make a large rectangle. Now, it's blue by default, which means this is the back face. I need to right-click on that, and choose Reverse Faces. It should turn white now. Now I'd like to have two different zones. I'd like to have a zone in the kitchen itself, and a different zone out here for the hardwood floor. To do that, we need to draw in some edges, so use the line tool. Snap a…
