The Move tool
- [Instructor] The Move tool allows us to move and to tease around our model. To activate it, you can click on this icon here. Or you can use the keyboard shortcut, the letter M. To move pieces of your model around, you can click on an edge, face, group, or component. Click and release, and begin to move your cursor throughout your model. Now, a common occurrence when you're moving things, is for them to sink below your intended space. In this case, my coffee table is sinking below my ground plane. And to avoid this, you can be more strategic with where you first click on something. So I'm going to hit my Escape key to let go of that selection. And I'm actually going to pre-select what I'd like to move. In this case, I'm moving my coffee table. So I'm going to hit my space bar to activate my Select tool, click on my coffee table. And now to move it, I'm going to hop back to my Move tool, so the letter M. And instead of…
