- [Instructor] If you'd like to create text that is part of your 3D geometry, you can use the 3D Text tool. It's found under the large toolset, which is View, Tool Palettes, Large Toolset, and you can find that icon here, or you can use the dropdown menu under Tools, 3D Text. A window will appear, prompting you to enter in the text that you would like to present in 3D. I'm going to go ahead and add an address to this and my address is going to be 1234. Now I can choose the alignment of it, the font by clicking on the Font window. I can choose to have it filled, which will create a face, and I can extrude it to a certain distance. I'm going to go ahead and leave that default setting there and click Place. Now it's going to be attached to my cursor and when I hover over a face, it will align with that face.
