Prototypes on your mobile
- [Speaker] We're going to be looking at using the Sketch Mirror to view our prototype on a mobile phone. To start, you need to download the Sketch Mirror app from the Apple store, install it on your phone, and then make sure that you're connected to the same WiFi as your laptop or computer. Once you've got the connection working you may need to look at the notification section, which you can find in your toolbar, and connect your phone for the first time to your sketch. You should then have a screen, as you can see in my mobile, where you connect to the file. So my file is called Hipster bikes, and you can scroll through every art board that's within that page. I can click into a screen and navigate through the different art boards at 100% zoom. I'm going from screen to screen, and we can see that my images are at a good size to show up very crisply on my iPhone 12, things look like they're readable in terms of typography, I have things at the right height and width for this phone. These are things that you can check. You'll observe that I cannot click on any of the links that I have. So why are we using Sketch Mirror? It's just to make sure that we know what things look like on an actual device. For prototype testing, you can do that using the Sketch prototype preview. We can look from this screen, here, and perhaps the gradient could be improved at the top of the screen. These are things that you can decide based on viewing on an actual device. You should now be able to look at your prototypes or art boards, on a mobile phone, using Sketch Mirror.
