Find an effective accountability partner

Finding the right accountability partner and the right group is not as hard as people think it is. You really want to find somebody that is goal-oriented. They don't have to have the same profession as you. They don't have to be the same age as you. They don't even have to be in the same state as you. You just want to find somebody who is goal-oriented, who's willing to check in with you, and who's willing to hold you accountable. It's really like, I want help reaching my goals. Do you? And if that person is a strong yes, then that is a great accountability partner. It's really interesting to find the right accountability partner because you're not looking necessarily for someone in your family because they have a vested interest in how you do. And you want somebody that is not so tied to your results because that's going to impact how honest you can be about what you're doing. So you want somebody that's not as invested in the outcomes, but who also wants to accomplish their goals…
