- I know it must feel overwhelming to think about what you need to do to feel completely ready on test day. But remember, passing the exam begins with your belief in your ability to pass. Henry Ford once said that, "If you believe you can or believe you can't, you're right!" The SHRM-CP Exam is based on HR best practices. Half the test is about your knowledge of the profession and the other about how you do your job. To eliminate any anxiety make a plan and stick with it. Your study plan is best when it mirrors a project plan. Including: dates, times, and places you will study. Where you study matters. Think about how you learn best and create an environment that is conducive to your style. If you concentrate better in complete quite or with some background noise.
