- When I got back from changing into some warmer clothes and getting some freshly charged batteries, I walked over to the youth sculpture area and, whoa, like the kids had already like, you know, really been working hard and the sculptures were taking shape. I got a little bit concerned that I had missed some quality stuff. So, learn from my mistake, always arrive to your location completely prepared. Especially with event photography when you're working on somebody else's schedule and you can't go backwards. I think there's a couple elements to this process that I missed. Luckily there's a couple more days to this, so I'm going to have plenty of material. I'm definitely not going to make that mistake again. While walking around the location and trying to find new shots to take, I was realizing that I was relying a little bit too much on some of the generic wide shots.
