Set an alert on a document or library
- [Narrator] Sometimes we want to know when a document has changed and who made the changes. And we don't want to have to look in the version history to figure that out. We want to know right away. We have a lead generation list and the sales manager wants to know whenever there's a new item placed on that list. So we're going to click the menu and go to alert me. It says alert me when items change. This is going to be the title of the alert. And the alert can be sent in one of two ways, either by email or if your organization has SMS enabled, text messaging. For SharePoint, you could have a text message sent, but this is going to be by email. So rather than documents, which is the name of the library, I'm simply going to type "Change to KinetEco lead generation list." There's a .xlsx. Don't need that. And who should the alert be sent to?
