- [Instructor] Creating a news post is like writing a breaking news article. It keeps your audience informed and engaged. Let's learn how to create and publish news posts in SharePoint. A news post is a special kind of page. From the New menu, select News post. Contoso has its annual marathon coming up, and we want to make sure that our employees know about it. From our news templates, we have a variety of options including blank, newsletter, event, status updates, processes, and more. You can also create your own news post templates if you'd like. For this example, let's use the event option and then select Create post. Just like in a news article in a newspaper, we can add image and text about the event. At the top, let's add an image. First, select the web part, and on the toolbar, select the Change Image option. I think the stock images is probably our best bet. And then type in a search term.
