- [Instructor] Beyond access and storage, OneDrive offers additional settings that SharePoint admins can configure to enhance usability, enforce compliance, and improve organizational efficiency. These settings are just as important for shaping how OneDrive works for users. The things that I want to talk about are on the Settings page that we looked at when we were looking at OneDrive storage. From the left navigation, click Settings. Then scroll down on the page to see the OneDrive area. The first thing you can set is notification settings, which control whether users receive email notifications about file activity in OneDrive. This might seem like a small thing, but notifications can significantly influence how users interact with OneDrive. For example, when someone shares a file or folder, or when a file has been edited, notifications keep the authors informed of that.
