- [Voiceover] In this set of movies, we're going to see how the Microsoft Office Application's interact with SharePoint. And I'm going to start with Microsoft Outlook. This is a very intentional choice. Outlook is an interesting case. There is a fair amount of duplication between the features of Outlook and the features of SharePoint. We don't see that level of duplication with Word or PowerPoint, but with Outlook it's very clear. For example, here's a calendar in SharePoint, but Outlook has calendar's as well. I've added a task's list here to my site. Outlook has task's list as well. And if I'm using Microsoft Project Server, I have the ability to send those tasks to Outlook, or to SharePoint. It's helpful then to really think about how Outlook is already being used in your organization. When your designing, what you'd like to put into SharePoint, because there are huge opportunities here.
