- [Instructor] One popular way to build links is a tactic called guest blogging. It's a pretty simple concept. You find a website that publishes content on a topic that's similar to yours. Then you get in touch with that website and ask them if you can contribute some content to them. As part of this, you can include the link from that content to your own website. It's been a popular tactic with SEO for a number of years now. And as with most tactics, people have found ways to get the most out of it and have scaled it. Unfortunately, this lists the tactic coming under scrutiny from Google, and it's now explicitly mentioned in their guidelines here, large-scale article marketing and guest posting campaigns.
