Kali Linux
- [Instructor] Let's start with Kali Linux, available for download at kali.org. Kali is one of, if not the best, known penetration testing Linux distributions, although its use extends beyond just penetration testing. You can also use Kali to perform vulnerability assessments and, in certain cases, security control assessments. Kali is a fully-functional Linux distribution loaded with useful security tools, and many of the downloads are intended to replace your existing operating system. For this course, though, we're going to be using a Kali virtual machine, specifically the Kali Linux 64-bit virtual box distribution, available at Downloads, and then Prebuilt Virtual Machines.
